Internett = kaffe
Internett = rødvin
Internett = vann
Internett = rød, tynn kaffe
Jeg vil ha asken min spredd over Internett.

Today French philosopher Jean Baudrillard died at 77, CoffeGirl. I first noticed him during the first Gulf War, when he said that the war wasn't real, it was simulated. I remember thinking Fuck You Jean, tell it to all the dead GIs and all the dead Arabs for that matter:
"One of his better known theories postulates that we live in a world where simulated feelings and experiences have replaced the real thing. This seductive “hyperreality,” where shopping malls, amusement parks and mass-produced images from the news, television shows and films dominate, is drained of authenticity and meaning. Since illusion reigns, he counseled people to give up the search for reality."

Thanks, evil dad! It sounds interesting, and I am going to read more.
Internett er Gud, bursdag og sex.
Hurra!
Du glemte dop og sigaretter.
I never understood too much of him, M, but this was back in the early 90ies, before the internet, and when I read in the NYT that he had died, I remembered his claims about Desert Shield/Desert Storm and how stupid I thought he was back then. And then it struck me that the internet maybe have made some of his theories more valid? I don't really know, but we're constantly reposting copies of copies of copies of pictures/movies/sound clips somebody recorded once, and I guess that's something that would fascinate him?
